Bangladesh February 2010

This is an opportunity to give much-needed encouragement to one of EFM’s younger missions and to persecuted Christians in Bangladesh.The young church is growing, but facing hard times, and not only needs our church’s heightened prayer and support; but just as importantly, needs our face to face love and encouragement as they share Christ with this Muslim and Hindu country. The Friends Mission is about 4 ½ years old now, started by EFM National Leaders, Albert & Metali Adhikari.

Schedule: Albert is still developing our ministry schedule. We will be leaving our homes on Thursday the 11th and will begin ministry work in Bangladesh on Saturday the 13th. We plan to leave Bangladesh on Friday the 19th and arrive home Saturday night. We will be meeting both with Christian families in house churches and with Muslim or Hindu families at preaching points for encouragement, laughing, eating, and teaching.

We will buy individual plane tickets from wherever team members live, and meet up along the way.

Cost: $1,990 total approximate cost (subject to change based on actual costs).

This includes plane tickets, all lodging, host thank you gifts, all travel and meals within Bangladesh.

This does not include visa ($176), travel meals, passports, immunizations, souvenirs, etc.

Immunizations are optional. It is up to you to ask your doctor and/or see http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/bangladesh.aspx so you can decide what immunizations to purchase. I recommend using your county health department to save lots of money.
